In the spring of 2019, I spent a rough couple of days dealing with gastrointestinal distress. While holed up on the couch with a sports drink, saltine crackers, and The Last Waltz, it occurred to me that Dyre Rhea & the Dri-Heaves would make a great name for a rock or punk band. So I invented the band and started writing and recording songs for them. They even have an origin story, which may or may not find its way to the eyes of the public but which definitely involves bold vulgarity and an acoustic metal cover of Paula Abdul’s hit “Opposites Attract.”

Dyre Rhea & the Dri-Heaves have their own Bandcamp page, which can be found here: https://dri-heaves.bandcamp.com/
